Suvi's Revenge (Rowan Sister's Trilogy, Book 3) by Brenda Trim and Tami Julka

Suvi's Revenge (Rowan Sisters' Trilogy Book 3)Suvi's Revenge (Rowan Sister's Trilogy, Book 3)
by Brenda Trim and Tami Julka

My rating: 4.5 of 5 stars

Suvi is the youngest of the Rowan triplets, and now that her sisters are mated, she is ready for her mate, and when a young, handsome vampire walks into the store looking for help, Suvi is more than ready to promise him the world.

Caine woke up in a dungeon this morning, with no idea what was going on. Now he is accussed of murder and only has seventy-two hours to clear his name, only problem he is a vampire and can't go out in the sun. At least the Vampire King, Zander and the doctor, Jace pointed him in the direction of the Rowan sisters, and he sure hoped they could help.

Caine and Suvi are pulled together at once and at first they just think it is desire, but within hours they realize that they are Fated Mates, and they are pretty sure there is more to his being framed for murder than meets the eye. When the sisters and their mates go back to the scene and use a spell to see what really happened they are sure that Cele is behind it all. Now they just need to tell the Vampire King and hopefully enlist his help in taking down Cele.

This is the third book in the Rowan Sisters and it ties up their lives quite well. At the same time, the Dark Warriors are featured even more in the book, partly because Suvi's mate is a vampire and partly because the sisters are now stronger that they are mated and the realm needs them to work with the Dark Warriors to get rid of the archdemon.

The Dark Warrior Alliance and The Rowan Sisters intertwine a great deal. It's probably really best if you read the first three books of the Dark Alliance before you read the Rowan Sisters. The next scheduled book coming out in the Dark Alliance, I can already see glimpses of the sisters being involved in that as well.

This is more about the mates, more romance, but there is still the action and fighting, evil priestess Cele is still at it, and then there is that easy flowing humor that comes from a tight-knit family atmosphere to everyone in the book.

Life has changed for the Rowan Sister's now that Pema has found her Fated Mate, and sometimes Isis and Suvi just have to get out of the house. Confetti Too, the realm nightclub is open and doing business, and having to be rebuilt due to an archdemon and skirm attack not too long ago. Isis is expecting nothing more than another night of drinking and dancing, only to find herself talking most of the night to a cambion; that is part human, part fire demon.

Braeden is new to town, a metal artist with a son, and not really into the idea of being at the bar, and talking to Isis is making him feel even worse. He can tell she is innocent and sweet, but he has troubles. Cele has kidnapped his son, Donavon and is holding him hostage until he gets something on the sisters for her to use against them. She's also made sure that there is no way he can tell her what is going on. Bad thing is he has no idea why she picked him!

After a date to a music festival, where Braeden and Isis learn they are fated mates, things get even more complicated. Leave it to the sisters to figure out a way to work around whatever Cele is planning because not only are the young and talented, they have love and the Goddess on their side.

This is the second book in the Rowan sisters, and you really should read Pema first, it helps explain the issues with Cele a little better. It is also probably best if you read the Dark Warrior Alliance Series, or at least the first three books, before you start this book. The Rowan sisters are introduced in the second book of the Dark Alliance series, and the characters from that series show up in this series over and over again, so getting to know them in their series first is probably best, but you can do it without.

The sisters trilogy is more about the romance of the fated mates, but there is still action, magic and fighting. Of course there is light-hearted humor and fun as well.

No matter what world you live in, triplets are rare, and in the Tehrex Realm where having children is rare, triplets are even more rare. In fact Pema and her sisters are the only known set of triplets, and it doesn't help that they are witches, only twenty-seven, and have a prophesy about them, or so it is said. Pema and her sisters own a store catering to the human and supernatural world, Black Moon Sabbat, and selling crystals and mild potions along with tarot card readings are their main thing, although the supernatural world knows they can help with real magic when needed.

Ronan is a bear-shifter and new to town, having taken a job with security at the new Confetti Too club for the members of the supernatural world. In all his life he has only had one girlfriend, and he thinks she is the best there is so he comes into Black Moon Sabbat for help, only to be knocked for a loop when he see's Pema. Never has his body reacted to the sight of a female like that before and he is lost as to what it could possibly mean.

Things get more complicated when Ronan's ex-girlfriend turns out to be Claire Wells, who hates the sisters, and daughter of Cele Wells, the realm's High Priestess. Cele has been trying for years to figure out a way to get the triplets power and to take over the realm, although not everyone knows that in the beginning. When Ronan picks Pema over Claire, sparks fly and Claire seeks revenge, no matter what her mother's plans might be.

If you have read the Dark Warrior Alliance you will have met the Rowan sisters in book 2 with Jace and Cailyn. If you haven't read that series, you really should because that series really comes before this series, and the characters in that series carry over into this series and you see them again here and there throughout the book.

The Rowan Sister's is more of the romance, fated mates story, but there is still some action, adventure and magic. There is also the humor that only comes from the author's books. Really and awesome read.
